floral friday: summer bouquets your way.

we’re excited to share this gem of a floral friday with you thanks to the insanely talented Jennica Jo. she sent us these gorgeous floral designs, two of which she crafted herself! like we said, this pretty woman has serious skills. these summer blooms are the perfect examples of 2 different types of floral designs–those created by a talented florist and talented DIY-er, both equally lovely.

first arrangement is the farmers market creation by our fierce photog friend. she used eucalyptus, cabbage, and white dahlias for a unique, earthy look. a braided twine tie finished this elegant and rustic bouquet in the most lovely way.

the farmers market option is a great way to pinch a few pennies on your wedding day! however, if you’re opting to go this route, be sure you take careful note of the flowers in season where you’re located and practice, practice, practice; it really does make perfect. DIYing your wedding flowers is definitely a time when it will pay to have experimented with the different varieties to create the right look. use it as a beautiful excuse to keep your kitchen table adorned with blooms before the big day and it’s definitely a skill you will carry with you long after the wedding to brighten your home in an instant.

this second set of wedding flowers were beautifully crafted by Hoffman’s Flowerland in Wisconsin. Using both bright and vibrant flowers, as well as classic white petals and lush greens, these gorgeous bouquets are a summer wedding’s dream. talking to a wedding florist makes finding the right flowers for your day easy and you can trust their creative talent will design the perfect bouquets for your wedding style.

many thanks to Jennica for sharing her creative eye and these beautiful images with us. whichever floral route you choose, summer wedding bouquets can be some of the most gorgeous designs with the incredible varieties of flowers available. choose the method that is right for you and remember that in the end, it’s truly not about the flowers..but they certainly do bring so much sunshine to your happiest day.
