We adore creative styled shoots, so when a team of talented Minnesota vendors gathered to create a vision filled with beautiful golds, delicate blooms, and incredibly styling, we were hooked. Carly of Girl Friday played a part in styling the shoot, she explains a bit about the day: our inspiration came from my favorite black and cream tapers from Five Stripes and the home of The Vintage Type–a historic hardwood milling warehouse on Mississippi River bluffs. The umbrella installation was created for this shoot. Diane, owner of The Vintage Type, painted the umbrella ceilings with gold spray paint, punched holes with grommets and threaded through a cord with a bare Edison bulb. Zlata Modeen Photography captured each and every impeccable detail with beautiful images that tell their story. It is a rent-able installation. The china is a family heirloom of Rosann’s (the calligrapher!). I mentioned I was looking for the right china and brought out her family china and offered to loan it. Super sweet!
