An Engagement around the Top Engagement Locations in New York City
When you want to go all out for your engagement session in New York City you plan for a multi-day event! This tour took place at epic locations from Central Park to the Catskill Mountains! Even if you aren’t local this is a must-have for your New York Adventure Engagement!
How did they meet?
They worked together in a restaurant in NY and were friends for a long time until they fell in love. TJ & Jen are very adventurous so when he proposed it had to be EPIC! He surprised her with a trip to Santorini“, Greece. And proposed to her at Oia while watching the sunset.
This multi-day and location engagement took place:
Day 2: We hiked up a mountain in the Catskills. Just near the town of Tannersville, NY, and caught this incredible view.
At one point at the Catskills, I was backed up to a cliff and they were casually standing on a rock in front of me. I really wanted to get that epic shot. But, of course, safety is really a priority for me and everyone around me. TJ and Jen were so comfortable they kept getting closer to the edge. I was having a silent panic attack and then my daughter, who was holding my off-camera flash. Found this very funny and started filming this with her cell phone. Out of the corner of my eye, I see my flash stand going past me. Lena my daughter reached out – missed it and then caught it as it almost went over the cliff. My heart stopped… and we laughed about it over drinks later that evening.
About the amazing photographer:
Rosina is a boutique wedding studio which means I devote more time to my couples and get very involved in their engagement and wedding day experience. I do not rely on my clients to know what to wear or what to expect for their engagement session, they need guidance. So, when preparing for the engagement session I send out a questionnaire because I want the session to focus on bringing out the best in my couples. It’s a great way for us to connect as a photographer/client team prior to the wedding day. It enlightens them that they can wear something different than they would normally wear or do their makeup differently.
Creating a unique styled engagement session builds excitement for the couple and really takes the session to the next level.
I want to know what they are wearing and I offer suggestions. They provide questions such as, “Are there any parts of your body that you are not comfortable with?” This enables me to address the concerns prior to the session. My motto is “A relaxed bride is my favorite bride”, because I have found that my couples appreciate every bit of guidance that I give from clothing suggestions to posing them in a way that makes them feel beautiful!
