Marc planned to propose during a trip to San Diego — dinner, bonfire on the beach, and a ring….well, Ashley admits that she was so lulled by the delicious dinner that she fell asleep on the car ride to the beach, so Marc decided to hold off. The next night, he was determined to make it happen, despite some unusually cold weather (Ashley thought he was pretty crazy to want to walk on the beach in the cold!) Luckily, she went along, and he proposed on the sand, under the stars. Ashley says the night was perfect, with the beach all to themselves. The next day they flew back to Chicago to share the good news with their family and friends. They spent a beautiful morning in downtown Chicago smiling for their engagement session with Carrie Holbo Photography. We adore seeing this beautiful couple in love in the city!
