what we love right now? wildflowers.
the average bride spent $1844-$2062 on wedding flowers in 2011 according to weddingstats.org, we think that is totally insane. if you agree with us, you should consider using wildflowers at your wedding. not only are they exceptionally beautiful and unique, they are incredibly affordable!
if you are looking to save money and be a budget savvy bride, you should consider buying local flowers from a wholesaler or famers market, taking a flower arranging class (studying via pintrest is also encouraged) and arrange your own flowers. i have to say that i had some pretty amazing flowers and bouquets at my wedding and i spent a under $100 on everything. a fabulous family friend who happens to be a florist arranged flowers from a local vendor, my grandma’s garden, and my back yard into exceptional bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces and at the end of my wedding, i wasn’t disappointed that they would just die. to top it all off we wrapped them in lace + burlap, with a locket on each one with a photo of each bridesmaid with me in it… talk about awesome, savvy, and stunning.
