Stony Man Engagement Session
This Stony Man Engagement Session has epic mountain views along with a stunning sunset! Brennen and George STUNNED on a beautiful September evening. We took a short mile hike up to Big Stoney Man in Shenandoah National Park, and the views did not disappoint. They changed at the top and just rocked their session. You can feel the years of love radiating off of both of them.

How did they meet?
The couple met in 2016 at James Madison University during their senior years. Brennen and her roommates went to meet their neighbors, and George opened the door. Fate brought them to living in the same apartment building on the same floor.
Their proposal story?
Due to the quarantine, the couple hadn’t left their apartment for many months. As western Virginia started to open back up in mid-May, the couple decided to expand their family and adopt a second puppy. Convinced to stop at James Madison University for a quick photoshoot, the trip turned into a beautiful, surprise proposal at the place where they met. They even got a surprise visit by the University’s celebrity police officer to congratulate the couple on their engagement. They ended the day as an engaged couple and with a new puppy.
What do they love about each other?
The couple has a lot of love for each other. What they love most about each other is how they complement each other and help each other be the best version of themselves.
Their biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge to planning the engagement session was the weather! The session was scheduled for August, and Virginia kept getting hit with rain from hurricanes and storms, and it often was not safe to reach the top of the mountain for the sunset session.
Favorite memory from their Stony Man Engagement Session?
Favorite memory of the day was getting to spend the intimate time together and have it captured in beautiful photos!
Advice for future couples?
The best advice the couple has for other couples is to communicate anything and everything to your partner. Communication is critical and leads to a much deeper and closer relationship.
From the photographer:
George and Brennen trusted us fully, even when it came down to rescheduling THREE times because of the weather. We wanted to make sure the day was as magical as their love. Patience made perfect, and we lucked out with the perfect Shenandoah evening.
